Mangalore : Chaos prevailed at district JDS party office as the meeting started between the District president of JD(S), and the member of Labour wing over the issue of cancelling the press meets, at the party office, October 8.

Reportedly, Shashi Raj Shetty , who had joined the JDS party along with MG Hegde was dropped from the party, two days before H D Kumaraswamy  visited Mangalore for JDS convention and Nagaraj Shetty has been inducted newly to the JD(S), by H D Kumaraswamy.

According to the activists, the senior JDS leaders like M B Sadashiva, Vasanth Poojary, Amarnath Shetty had earlier given the statement that only the press meet conducted under their leadership is valid and any members from other groups of JDS conducting press meet is not a part of JDS and this condemned, they said.

But all the three senior leaders were not present in the press meet and the situation came into control later.

Sushil Naronhna, state vice president, M G Hegde, state secretary of JDS, Sureshchandra Shetty, Mohammed Rafiq, president of the JD(S) labour wing and Mohammed Kunni and others were present in the meeting.
