Beltangady: The Charmadi Ghat road reopened for vehicular movement from Friday.

The road has been limited for public transport vehicles and light vehicles. Heavy vehicles will have no permission for movement.

Deputy commissioner said that only light vehicles are permitted to use from Thursday evening, while public transport from Friday morning.

Debris was cleared out with the help of 12 JCBs till Thursday evening. Trees and rocks which were posing danger to road users have been removed. Temporary drains have been dug to allow excess water to drain out.
