Mangalore: The Mangalore University has proposed to hold a 3-day international conference from Dec 8 on its campus, related to synthetics and structured chemistry, styled as ICA-SC-2011.
Speaking to the print media on Monday, vice-chancellor, Prof. TCS Murthy stated that he united National General Assembly of 190 nations, had decided in Dec 2008 itself, that 2011 would be known as the international Year of chemistry, during its 63rd session.
The present conference is arranged as a common forum for exchanging ideas on chemical developments, on a vast scale.
Prof T.N.Guru Rao will inaugurate the meet. The solid state and structural chemistry unit head in I.I.S.C, Bangalore, Dr. Rao will deliver keynote address, while Prof. TCS Murthy will preside.
Eminent directors of science research, Dr. Akberali, Dr. K.A. Suresh, and Prof. M.R. Gajendragad, will attend as main guests. 20 chemical experts will present their papers. 300 research topics will be covered. 500 delegates will attend from various in situations.
