Udupi : Chief minister B S Yediyurappa inaugurated the fifth centenary celebrations of Paryaya pooja system of Ashta Mathas on Monday January 18.
He also inaugurated ‘Vishwa Patha’, a queue complex built for the devotees to take Darshana of Lord Sri Krishna. A formal stage function was held at Sri Narahari Vedi, Rajangana.
The CM further said, All devotees, right from the common to rich, are donating Rs 100 to Rs 500 for the construction of Ram Mandir. The contribution of the Ashta Mathas in protection of Hindus from external attacks is laudable.
On the occasion, MLA Raghupati Bhat, Muzrai minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Shobha Karandlaje, and Brahmakalshotsava committee members were present.
