Bangalore: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda inaugurated a new component of the property registration system currently placed at the sub-registrar offices in the city. In a major step forward, the new software will now enable registration of property from any of the ten sub-registrar offices currently operational in Bangalore Urban district.
“There were people against this move, but I feel it is a very good improvement of service as a citizen can now register property from any of the ten locations without having to go to the particular office where the property is located,” said Sadananda Gowda on the occasion.
“We shall now look at implementing this method for the entire state along with other improvements like integration with court records and providing information through SMS,” he added while discussing efforts being made to provide instant property registration intimations to land owners.
“We have integrated all information into a central data centre in preparation for taking this system online, we shall be looking to make the entire procedure simplified and available throughout the state on the net in the near future,” said MV Prashant, Senior Technical Officer with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune, is the nodal agency responsible for development and maintenance of the software currently running in the sub-registrar office.
