Udupi : Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President G Parameshwar today said if Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has any respect for democracy and Constitution, he should resign and dissolve the assembly to seek fresh mandate from the people as 75 per cent of his cabinet colleagues are party to all wrong decisions taken by the former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa who had been arrested for graft charges and his involvement in land scam.
Addressing a press conference here, he said at least 14 ministers of Yeddyurappa ministry who were continuing in the current cabinet headed by Mr Sadananda Gowda were involved in criminal misconduct.
Ministers in Sadananda Gowda government such as R Ashok, Yogeshwar, Renukacharya, Somanna and even state party chief K S Eshwarappa were facing corruption and cheating charges.
Displaying fresh documents, Dr Parameshwar alleged that Fisheries Minister Vasanth Asnotikar was involved in fraud case of Rs 100 crore.
He alleged that most of the ministers in the present cabinet were involved in one or the other illegal scandal by gross violation of land of law. ”We will meet Governor H R Bharadwaj at the earliest and submit him a detailed report on the charges against the ministers urging him to take proper action,” he said.
Denying the charges that the Congress had celebrated after pronouncement of arrest warrant of Mr Yeddyurappa by the Lokayukta court, the KPCC President said the Congress had not celebrated the arrest of the former Chief Minister.
