Mangalore : Deputy Commissioner Dr NS Channappa Gowda has said that the district administration was making all possible efforts to provide government facilities to underprivileged children through shelter homes.

He was speaking at the children’s day programme held at the Chinnara  Tangudhama Bejai Kapikad on November 14, Wednesday.

Continuing, the DC said it was the duty of each and every individual in the society to help in the upliftment of children from the weaker strata of the society and see to it that they grow up as responsible citizens of the land.

Hilda Rayappan of Prajna Counselling Centre, Asha Nayak, Chairperson of CWC,  Shivaprakash, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan officer Ratish Shetty, ZP Vice President and others were present on the occasion.
