Bengaluru : Revenue Minister R Ashoka said that he has directed all the deputy commissioners to set up children’s hospitals in all the districts to face the possible third wave. After inaugurating the new sub-registrar’s office in Koratagere, Minister Ashoka said, “I have directed the deputy commissioners to conduct a training camp for all the doctors on treating kids. We will release the money from the disaster management fund to set up paediatric hospitals and also ramp up the health infrastructure like medicines, training of doctors, new oxygenated, ICU and ventilator beds. We have learnt a lot of lessons in the second wave and now geared up to face the possible third wave”, he said.
CM to take a call on relaxations
Mr Ashoka said that the Covid cases were subsiding in the State. “CM BS Yediyurappa will take a call on easing lockdown restrictions after taking stock of the situation”, Minister Ashoka said.
Citizen-friendly measures by Revenue Department
“After I took over as Revenue Minister, we have initiated a lot of citizen friendly measures. Now, it is easier for businessmen to set up industries as we have cut red tapism. We have also repealed the 79B which is fetching good value for the farmers. Due to these efforts, the foreign investment is flowing into the State and we attract the maximum foreign investment. We have also taken steps like asking the deputy commissioners to visit villages to understand people’s problems. Now, we are taking steps to ensure pension is being distributed at the doorstep to senior citizens by using the database of Aadhar cards”, Minister Ashoka said.
