Mangaluru : The Christmas celebrated with gaiety, joy and religious fervor in Mangalore city. Thousands of Christians thronged to churches across the city on Wednesday evening to take part in the mid night mass.
The Churches in Mangaluru including Rosario Cathedrel, Milagres Church, Valencia Church, Fatima Retreat House(Crib), Jeppu St. Seminary, Father Muller , Bendoor Church (Crib), Cordel church, Lady Hill decorated with colorful lights. People enjoying the Christmas Festival and exchanged the Christmas greetings.
Mangaluru Bishop Rev. Aloysius Paul D’Souza at the Rosario Cathedral after mass prayer in his message stressed the every human being to live in peace and harmony by loving one and all. Each and every Christian to lead life of a true Christian.
Jesus lived for us and died for forgiveness of our sins. He did only good and he hated none, His blessings can be received only when a person serves the society selflessly.
To celebrate Christmas every house of the believers are blown up with lights. Cribs, mistletoe and balloons marking the merry surrounding the festival.
The delicacies are distributed among friends and family members. Variety of cakes, especially the dark plum cake is the hot favourite of the season.
