Mangalore : Catholic Sabha Pradesh in association with Episcopal city organized ‘Christmas Food Fiesta-2014’, a food competition and fancy fete at Bishop’s House on Sep 24, Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion chief guest Roy Castelino, president of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy said that the competition was held as a fund-raiser which would collect the money to construct houses for 10 poor families at the cost of Rs 30 lakhs.

Roy also said that although Christmas is away for more than two months, Anil Lobo have started preparation which must be applauded.

Spiritual director Fr J B Crasta said that, the celebration of Christmas will be special as it includes working for a good cause by helping to build houses for the poor. The community will also help the poor to celebrate Christmas like everyone.

Roy Castelino also inaugurated lucky coupons on the occasion. The Lucky coupon books were distributed to presidents of Episcopal city varado parish units for sale.

President of Episcopal city Varado Anil Lobo welcomed the guests and gathering.
