Mangaluru: Pratap Reddy, additional director general of police (ADGP) of criminal investigation department (CID) arrived here on Sunday to conduct special investigation on Sharath’s murder case.

Reddy also met the police officials and held discussions about the recent communal disturbances which happened in the district. He also discussed about the murder case of Sharath in particular.

Over 12 persons have already been arrested although the police could gather some clues during the probe but could not reach the culprit.

There has been pressure from various quarters to entrust investigation into Sharath Madiwala’s murder to National Investigation Agency (NIA) and many expect order to this affect getting issued in a couple of days. If the state government is not interested in giving its nod for this proposal, the central government might move court and get a favourable order from there to begin NIA investigation, sources said.
