Mangalore : Various organizations and local localities paid tribute to the departed soul of Jacintha Saldanha at Valencia on December 12.
Parish Priest of Valencia, Fr Bonaventure flagged off the candle light procession Bonaventure from Valencia Circle which culminated at Bendurwell Circle,
Speaking on the occasion, Fr Bonaventure said that Jacintha was born and bought up in Valencia area in Mangalore. Even after her death, her body was not allowed to see by her family members for 4 days which leads to suspicion.
Although the London Police have reported her death as suicide, we are not ready to believe that since she was a brave woman.
He also urged the London police to investigate the case and give justice to her family members and hand over the body to them as soon as possible.
Over 500 people marched in a candle light procession and gathered near Bendurwell circle to pay tribute to Jacintha’s departed soul.
Fr Maxim Rosario from Jeppu Seminary said it is necessary to pressurize the government to interfere in the case and pass an order to conduct investigation into suspicious death of Jacintha.
Former MLA Hasanabba and Registrar St Aloysius College, Prof Narahari also spoke on the occasion.
Leaders like Ivan D’Douza, Mithun Rai, Praveen Chandra Alva, Kripa Alva and many others were present.
