Mangalore : Ganesh Chaturthi festivities in the city marks the Colourful celebrations at Bunts Hostel here on Thursday September 1.

The festival was jointly organized by Sri Siddi Vinayaka Prathishtana and Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi.

The Bunt community members under the banner of Sarvajanika Sri Ganeshotsava Samithi have been celebrating the festival for last seven years.

Brigadier I N Rai (retd) speaking on the occasion, said that Ganesh Chathurthi is celebrated irrespective of religion, caste and creed.

Ln Dr Ramdas Rai appreciated the efforts of the organization in uniting the people and celebrating the festival.

Subashchandra Bhandari, Ahalya S Bhandari, Vinaya R Rai, Anuradha Rai and office-bearers of the organizing committee among others were present.
