Mangalore: Presiding over the DK ZP monthly review meeting, city MP Nalin Kumar Katil warned concerned officials in various departments to translate plans in to activity, by holding regular meetings at taluk levels, under the direction of Chief Executive Officer, and avoid negligence in their work or face disciplinary action in the issues involved.
He added that there were complaints about central govt. schemes in DK, not at all getting proper attention, and the targets not being reached on time.
He has taken such complaints seriously.
It is necessary to open in all GPs, the multi purpose service centres (named after Rajiv Gandhi) and utilize the funds given towards rural employment works.
There was a grant of Rs 2 crores for losses due to rains on coastal areas. Roads are in disrepairs. Movement of people is hampered. The executive officers cannot ignore such matters, the MP pointed out.
He critisised the absentee officials.
