Mangaluru : As per transfer order City police commissioner M Chandra Sekhar has been transferred to Bengaluru and IPS officer and IGP of Benagaluru Satheesh Kumar has been appointed as new police commissioner of Mangaluru on Thursday May 25.

Satheesh Kumar is a native of Tamil Nadu. He has earlier served as SP of Bidar district and DCP (administration) in Bengaluru. Chandra Shekar has been tranferred as inspector genral of police (IGP) of the criminal investigation department and economic offences, Bengaluru. Chandra Sekhar had taken charge as police commissioner of Mangaluru on January 3, 2016.

N Satheesh Kumar has been tranferred from his post of the deputy IGP and director of (personal and enviorment), KSRTC, Bengaluru.
