Mangalore : A clash erupted over the issue of collecting funds for flood-affected people in Jammu and Kashmir injuring two persons near Volachil Padavu Mosque on October 5, Sunday.

The victims are identified as Abdul Rehman (48) and V Abbas (45).

It is learnt that, two youths identified as Naufal and Ubedulla were collecting funds for flood-affected persons in Jammu and Kashmir when they were objected by Pathonji Ismail. An argument immediately turned to fight between two groups when victims Rehman and Abbas were attacked with a machete by Rafique, Pathonji Ismail and other unidentified persons.

The injured duo has been admitted at Highland Hospital at Kankanady for treatment.

Mangalore rural police station have registered attempt to murder case against the attackers.
