Mangalore : Adarsh (12), a class seven student of Joyland English Medium School, Kolya  allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after his mother denied money to buy biscuits.

He was  the son of Srinivas and Vinoda. Vinoda worked at Kinya sharada Vidyalaya while  the father worked in a fishing boat.

The incident took place on September 18, Wednesday evening. The boy had joined Joyland school two months ago.

Investigations are underway.
