Kasargod : The cleaner of a bus was killed and 20 other passengers sustained injuries, one of them seriously when the bus in  which they were travelling overturned near Bekal on January 28, Monday.

The deceased is Abdul Rahiman (29) hailing from Malappuram. Some of the injured are  Abdul Haji, Abduulla, Sharafuddin, Vilasini. Sukumaran, Mohammad Faizi. The mishap occurred when the driver of the bus in a  bid to overtake lorry lost control over the vehicle. Just a week ago, locals had waylaid the bus and warned its driver against rash driving.

Bekal police have registered a case.
