Bangalore: B. J Puttaswamy (BJP) political secretary to CM Yeddyurappa, has today attacked JD-S state leader H.D Kumaraswamy, for allowing his father Devegowda and his relatives to a mass wealth in hundreds of crores of rupees in transactions involving the entire Gowda family, by misuse of his powers as then CM (2006-7)
In 2006, BJP clarified, when H.D Kumaraswamy had taken over as CM in a coup of JD-S legislators, the Devegowda clan had properties valued at Rs. 101.08 crores, whereas earlier it was much less. There is apparently nepotism and misuse of official powers in these cases. It is no longer a secret and there are valid documents on transactions conducted in firms like Banashankari Trading Co., Rajarajeshwari International polymers (RIP), Hansa Trading Co., Shakambari Enterprises and Nikhil Co., to earn over Rs. 101 crores by Gowda family members as found in their Bank accounts, BJP said.
The firms (noted above) never made so much business as in 2006-07. There is suspicious about some bad business in all this happening, which needs to be probed by Lokayukta. A complaint will be lodged soon, said B.J Puttaswamy, irrepressible.
