Bangalore : Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today expressed his displeasure over the Opposition parties raising the issue of BJPs ‘Operation Lotus’.
Strongly condemning the Congress staging protest in front of his house yesterday, Mr Yeddyurappa charged that/ Congress was indulging in anti-democratic methods by holding its MLAs in a resort without giving them freedom. “Let them keep their house in order first, then talk about others”. What moral right the Congress has to question ruling BJP party”. CM asked vehemently.
The opposition has also kept 11 BJP ex- MLAs, who were earlier disqualified, in a resort. “Does it not amount to anti-democratic way? Alas, Congress and JD(S) are trying to destabilise my government,” he exclaimed.
Mr Yeddyurappa said he plans to order a judicial probe into the lands owned by leaders of the Congress and JD(S) parties separately.
Taking strong exception to land scam allegations against his own government, which has faced repeated threats to its survival following a small rebellion by BJP dissidents.
Mr Yeddyurappa charged that half of the total extent of land available in and around Bangalore city is presently owned by JD(S) Leader H D Kumaraswamy and KPCC President R V Deshpande. He challenged them to renounce these lands for the poor people.
He said he was thinking of ordering a “judicial probe” ,to bring out the actual truth. He alleged that the opposition parties, which were making huge efforts to come to power through ”dubious methods”, had lost the basic right to be in the ranks of Opposition also.in view of their questionable ways.
”I have documentary proof of their acts of destabilising the BJP government using the form of audio and video cassettes. I will be soon sending these to the Congress High Command,” Mr Yeddyurappa finally warned.
