Mangalore : Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that those trying to incite communal tension will face stern action.
Addressing a district level progress review meet at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on September 29, Sunday, he even warned that corrupt officials will face action. The government will not bow to pressure, he said.
He also promised to hold a Janatha Darshan programme during his next visit to the district.
An appeal was made on the occasion to the CM by all elected representatives of the district including ministers Ramanatha Rai, Abhayachandra Jain, Vinaykumar Sorake, UT Khader, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Legislators Shakuntala Shetty, JR Lobo, Moidin Bava, Vasanth Bangera, S Angara and MLC K Monappa Bhandari, urging the government to reconsider the Ettinahole project.
