Bajpe: Speaking at Gurupura Vajradehi Math on Jan 4 during an annual festival, after participating in Navachandika Yaga (ritual), and laying the cornerstone for a community hall under construction at the venue, CM DV Sadananda Gowda who is on a visit to home district here, said that h e gained a new soul power from the Yaga, when he faced confusing situations as the chief Minister from various quarters, and felt that he must be committed to protect Dharma and then only all provocative issues could be met successfully.

He was for constructive plans that drove youths towards social upliftment. He was advised by Gurupura Math Swamiji to protect cattle population and to prevent religious conversion by minorities.

The CM honoured art patron Kishore D Shetty and Santosh Bhayander of Mumbai, on the occasion.

Ministers and MLAs/MP of Dakshina Kannada Udupi, Dakshina Kannada Zilla panchayat Chief K.T. Shailaja Bhat, MRPL chief Uttam K. Basu, CD Authority chairman B.N. Shetty, several business persons, and BJP city chief Srikar Praph were present.
