Mangalore: CM Sadananda Gowda, now in Mangalore to attend several functions, dismissed the opposition and critics allegation that suspension and transfers of certain Dakshina Kannada police officers was engineered by his government on the demands made by local BJP activists, in the aftermath of recent stone-pelting on Sullia police station, supposed to be from RSS Parivar elements.
He responded to press enquiries in city on Wednesday morning. Gowda clarified that his government did not have time for intervention in such cases. The police department was competent to enquire into the case and take suitable action, without pressures exerted from outside, he added.
The CM left it to BJP High Command, to deal with verbal clashes supposed to have taken place between ex-CM and his old colleague who heads BJP in state.
