Mangalore : The District BJP organized a felicitation programme to honour Karnataka newly elected Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda at Sanghanikethan on August 13, Saturday.

BJP district president PadmanabhaKottary, welcomed the gathering and delivered the brief introduction of DV Sadananada Gowda and his achievement in his political career. Later he felicitated CM with shawl and garland.

Speaking on the occasion, District In charge minister Krishna J Palemar said that today the people of DK are happy to see person of Dakshina Kannada appointed as the chief minister.

He also said that during this occasion, the developmental work of former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s work also cannot be forgotten. The present CM will continue the developmental work started by Yeddyurappa, he added.

He also said that the Yeddyurappa had promised to give around 1064 houses to Koraga community in Dakshina Kannada and it will be fulfilled with the effort of CM DVS.

Being the son of Dakshina Kannada, DVS will surely work for the development of the district, he said.

M P Nalin Kumar said that CM DVS will change the negative feelings of people over BJP government with his developmental work. He will surely continue his tem of two years as the chief minister of Karnataka.

Criticizing Devegowda, he said that there are three gowda’s in the political field of the state and ‘Devegowda’ is the suffered gowda, Kumaraswamy is the Sad Gowda and only only gowda, which increases hope in the people of DK is ‘Sadananada Gowda’ as his name suggest, he said.

He is one of the politician who guides the young politician at the Lok Sabha Meeting.

Later the presidents of 8 Vidhan Sabha Kshetra honoured CM with garland.

After receiving the honour CM DV Sadananda Gowda said that he had never thought that he would ever become the chief minister of the state. Since DK is my birth place, I started my political tour from Dakshina Kannada, he said.

After appointing as CM, I met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and said that I accidentally became the CM of Karnataka, and he replied that even he had accidentally become the Prime Minister.

He also said that his political career started from the RSS activities and later involvement in political activities. Large number of people had supported me in my career and urged to give similar support further too.

Karambal Sanjeeva Shetty is was my god father in the political field and I admire the political life of TMA Pai and Srinivas Mallya, since I have not seen the politicians like them who have gained the people belief and maintained throughout their term.

Today politics in the country has just become like showing hatred towards other part. But I want to follow the foot step of Srinivas Mallya and maintain the friendly realtion and come out of the cain called Corruption.

I have started working on the development of the state and district on the next day after taking charge as CM. I have appointed a team of 20 members and started the development work from morning 7 am to night 12 pm, he added.
