Karkala: Two days hence, on Dec 28, chief minister Devaragunda V.Sadananda Gowda, MLC, is expected to resign in New Delhi his Udupi-Chikkamagalur MP post.
A search is on to set up a new candidate for 15 months as new MP, in the vacancy caused by CM Gowda, who takes oath as MLC on Dec 27 in Bangalore.
Gowda is likely to discuss about a collective leadership of BJP in Karnataka with party top leaders in New Delhi, as he is accompanied by K.S. Eshwarappa who heads state unit of BJP. CM is reply to a query from Press stated here that Chief Election Commissioner will fix the date of by-polls of MP seat. Former MLA V. Sunil Kumar, a progressive farmer, is local favorite for the vacancy in Udupi parliamentary post.
