Moodbidri : Speaking at the press meet, Alva’s Education Foundation chairman Dr. M. Mohan Alva, said that the Alva’s Virasat will be held at at Shobavana in Mijar from Jan 5 – 8.
He said that chief minister D. V. Sadananda Gowda will inaugurate the annual cultural event on Jan 5 at 6:00 p.m, while Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade preside over the event.
Giving the details on the event, he said that on Jan 5 Vidhwan Ganesh and the Kumaresh brothers from Chennai will present a violin concert from 7:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m and Punjab Folk Dances will steal the show from 8:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
On January 6, Shiva the Musical Thunder programme will be presented by Shiva Fusion Group Chennai from 6 to 8 pm. Spellbound Odyssey group dance programme by Ram Li Ibrahim and group frp, Kuala Lumpur.
On January 7, Grammy Award winning artiste, Pandit Vishwamohan Bhat on Mohan Veena, and Surmani Pandit Pravin Ghodkindi on flute. Thereafter, Aditi Mangaldas troupe will present Kathak dance.
On January 8, A special musical fusion, ‘Moksha’ ,will be presented by Mahesh Vinayakram and troupe, Chennai. A programme of light music will be presented by Raghu Deekshit, M D Pallavi and troupe from 7.30 to 9.30 pm that day.
