New Delhi: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yeddyurappa met the senior BJP leaders in New Delhi today in view of fresh corruption charges made by JDS leaders HDK and Devegowda who accused him of showing undue favour to some private companies/parties.
Earlier CM had dismissed as the charges as baseless allegations, made against him by conspirators. He had asked both Devegowda and Kumaraswamy (father and son) to come and check any donations, instead of making a new attack on him.
CM explained that his 2 sons were running an educational institution, with 2,000 students taking lessons. People make donations to get seats in such institution, to help run them efficiently. The allegation is made is that some people take donations and then avail of state faculties as well, which included his sons too.
Kumaraswamy had released some figures to show the involvement of CM in these fraudulent cases.
CM Yeddyurappa has been earlier accused of misusing his position to allot state-owned lands to his near and dear relatives. Similarly, now Kumaraswamy has nailed him, with one more attack, for which he was called to Delhi to check the facts of the case, on the eve of a great Belgaum event like World Kannada Conference, beginning March 11 for 3 days.
