New Delhi: CM Yeddyurappa has reached New Delhi after canceling his ticket several times. It is BJP President, Nitin Gadkari, who will decide CM’s fate now.
Yeddyurappa has refused to resign when BJP top leaders asked him to do so on Sunday, or he bears the risk of being dismissed from the Party, they added. Yet, CM has not made any decision to quit, nor BJP as a party cannot end the embarrassment in New Delhi political circles.
Dr. V.S. Acharya wants only Yeddy as CM, who is mired in land scandals in his family over the years. The opposition parties have alleged that CM has misused his office to grab lands and cash in large quantities.
BJP partymen in state want CM to step down, in favour of Law Minister Suresh Kumar as front runner.
JD-S leader H.D. Kumaraswamy who knows all about his former deputy CM in 2006-07, has been the brain behind a massive revolt against B.S. Yeddyurappa who is clinging to his chain today desperately.
The Congress MLAs meanwhile have submitted a memorandum to the Governor to save the state from a crisis in administrations under Yeddyurappa.
A summary dismissal is ruled out at least from the present, by Governor or by BJP President.
