Sullia: Three teams having 14 ministers have been formed to supervise drought conditions in 120 taluks of the Karnataka state, and these 3 teams have fanned out to inspect various dry areas in taluks of Chamarajanagar(South) and Gulbarga-Bijapur districts(north), CM DV Sadananda Gowda said here, speaking to news reporters when he got down from a chopper on the school grounds on Monday, April 9.
He visited Mandekolu and Devaragunda home to attend a Nemotsava, in private capacity with his family members that is held annually.
He denied any lack of funds for completion of second vented dam at Thumbe, and rubbished all reports to the contrary (slow pace work done).
CM added that DK-DC had been instructed to speed up the dam construction before monsoon. Will they do it?
On Yeddyurappa’s tour of drought-hit districts, CM said he would consider the report when it is made, and the situation would be watched seriously.
About Mangalore dentist Dr. Mithra Hegde and her tall claims, CM ruled out any enquiry into such matters.
