Bangalore: CM Bookanakere Yeddyurappa drove into Raj Bhawan premises on Friday morning to shake hands with Governor Bhardwaj and offer him flowers, to make peace on the eve of ZP/TP final phase of elections.
Governor Hans Raj was obviously touched by CM’s recent talk of reconciliation with him, as an attacking CM 3 days ago.
CM called it a courtesy call, one that Union Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily also did a day earlier. The Governor is a former Law Minister for 15 years at the Centre and knows every Law.
He made it clear that Yeddy cabinet was corrupt and the most hated among states, for its corrupt ways in many matters likely, mining and land acquisition.
BJP had also abused its executive and legal powers, the Governor had stated. He had forced BJP to get through a second confidence vote in Assembly. Things are cooling off now at the fag end of 2010.
