Bengaluru: The state government have decided to hand over the DySP Ganapathi suicide case to CID on Friday.
DySP Ganapathi allegedly committed suicide on Thursday in a lodge at Madikeri.
Ordering for CID enquiry CM Siddaramaiah said that the enquiry team will make thorough study o the case before conclusion.
“The action will be taken after the completion of CID enquiry. From the primary reports it is came to know that some of the senior police official’s names are also included in the death note. The team will also investigate about the media interview of DySP and will analyse the content,” he said.
DySP Ganapathi’s brother who is also an IPS officer told to media that his brother was suffering depression.
“The allegations made by my brother are false and baseless. I knew that he was upset with the department, but the department never harassed him,” he said.
