Bangalore: Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa has described the Lucknow bench verdict on Ayodhya delivered on Sept.30 evening, as a “historic judgment”. He hoped that everyone would welcome it with an open mind.
The majority decision has declared that the place where the idol of Lord Sri Rama is kept, is the actual birthplace of Sri Rama (where the middle dome once existed).
The CM expressed satisfaction over the fact that the long-awaited verdict had done justice to the followers of all faiths. He hoped that now everyone would extend support in building the age-old Sri Rama temple, respecting the noble sentiments of a majority of Indians. He appealed to all citizens in the state to maintain peace, order and harmony.
He requested the media to refrain from publishing any provocative reports, or engage in live debates but help the govt, in maintaining law and order all over the Karnataka state.
