Mangalore : Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar is in Mangalore on March 18 Monday to inaugurate various projects. The CM who arrived at the airport on Monday morning was accorded a warm welcome by a host of BJP leaders including MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District Minister CT Ravi, Deputy Speaker Yogish Bhat,  former minister Krishna Palemar and others.

The CM who spoke to reporters at the airport, said the government was making all possible efforts to solve the power problem facing the state. He said the water shortage coupled with the  problems at the Raichur plant, has aggravated power problem and said the government would take steps to see that children are not inconvenienced during exams.

Shettar further said  the assembly election  results will not be affected by the local body election results.
