Bangalore: He could be outspoken like a springing tiger but could also feel shy like a bride if his family affairs are exposed day in and day out.
Only yesterday, CM was ready for a probe into Prerana Trust Funds from any quarters other than CBI but now on Wednesday, Yeddyurappa realized the consequences of an opposition hell-bent on exposing his greed for money and sought a probe by CBI only, he declared that there was no further enquiry on this issue as funds related to education and not to politics.
This sudden reverse circus feat in the Assembly hurt the Opposition more than what he might have collected illegally in crores of rupees, leading to outcry and pandemonium inside the legislature hall. A debate on the funds collected irregularly by CM’s sons from certain industrialists had kept the opposition MLAs on tenterhooks and they were disappointed clearly.
On Tuesday CM was open-minded to all kinds of debates on Trust funds. He was ready for a probe by whoever was running on educational Trust. He left it to the Speaker (Bopaiah) and the House to conduct probes, but not to the CBI which he believe in. But on Wednesday (Today), when business had commenced, Siddarmaiah supported by JD-S members insisted on a CBI enquiry into Trust Funds.
Intervening the discussions, CM stated that the opposition leaders were black-mailing him. Your aim is create public misunderstanding against me, Yeddyurappa argued. But that is your mistake and you can’t do much, he retorted.
No kind of probe would be made against funds coming into the Prerana Trust, so the opposition leaders were asked to cooperate in taking up the next matter on the agenda he pleaded.
Siddarmaiah angrily lashed out at CM on refusing any probe. Speaker Bopaiah realized the noisy scenes preventing the house business, adjourned the House for sometime.
