Mangalore: Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah arrived in Mangalore Airport on Friday and had discussion with news men who met him. He Said that the draft bill on prevention of Superstations would be first circulated at large and among the legislators before it is taken a for usual discussion and passing of the bill.
Referring to the Sowjanya murder case , CM informed that Sowjanya parents and certain associations had approached him demanding justices to the Ujire College student and he had duly and trusted the case for investigation by the Central Bureau (CBI) in Delhi.
CM also stated that the sugarcane minimum prices would be fixed within two days, as such , all sugarcane growers of North Karnataka and Mysore areas should patiently weight before a suitable discussion is taken on the support prices for all sugarcane crops in the state are evolved.
Regarding Belthangady MLA Vasanth Bangera’s claim that he had return a letter to CM on the atrocities of Dharmasthala gang in raping and killing several girls students of Ujire schools and colleges in the past few years including Sowjanya’s murder case, CM flatly said that he did not received any letter from Bangera or any other legislator in the matter.
Local he was accompanied by Home Minister KJ Jorge, City MLA Maiden Bava and Minister for environment, B. Ramanath Rai who is also the DKCC president. Ivan D’Sousa General Secretary of KPCC were also present at the Air port.
