New-Delhi: When the BJP top leaders in Delhi realized that B.S Yeddyurappa was far more popular and cannot be removed by a diktat, they imposed new norms of conduct on him to continue, to which he has signified his assent, before emplaning for Bangalore in a special aircraft on Wednesday along with his trusted colleagues and party leaders, like Dr. V.S Acharya and K.S Eashwarappa.
He was strictly told not to bring in his kith and kin, sons and daughters, to interfere in state politics in the next 2 years but leave them alone. He was asked to mind his duties and state governance in a manner attracting public attention. He was given the example of Bihar, where ruling JD (U) and BJP increased their legislators to reach 80% majority this week, for the next 5 years and showed how RJD and LJD parties of Lalu Prasad and R.V. Paswan were decimated. Rabridevi lost in 2 areas. B. S Yeddyurappa returned as a reformed and determined leader to face opposition head on and without fear.
There was a tremendous welcome for him in Bangalore (HAL) airport from Cabinet members, MLAs and party workers. He has vowed against lands denotification and opposition conspiracies to supplant him. Clean governance would be his Mahamantra (great chant) hereafter, failing which he would be again in deep trouble only to be dislodged from power.
Everyone is watching the new CM now.
