Mangaluru: Female staffs of CMS computers, which have undertaken the contract of the government’s e-governance Mangaluru-one, staged silent protest alleging harassment on them, on Monday at Mallikatte.
Employees’ welfare committee, human rights and anti-corruption committee, ‘Namma Mane Namma Ooru’, Citizen Forum, Prajna Vikas Trust and other organisation backed the protest.
Addressing the gathering harassed lady said that working hours has been increased suddenly from morning 8 to evening 5. Officials are insulting the senior staff of the company also.
Another employee Yogini said that she has a child and she had applied for concession in working hours. “Officials harassed me by saying that I am not performing my duty properly. They didn’t even uphold my application to reduce the working hours,” she said.
Protestors warned the authorities to stage a massive protest in front of DC office if their demands are not fulfilled.
