Mangalore: Deputy Speaker and MLA N. Yogish Bhat, said that around 261 developmental projects have been setup in Rs 100 crore in the CM’s special grant and around 181 of these projects have already been completed, including the concretization of 16 roads.
Speaking at the Janaspandana programme of the Hobli A level of Mangalore Taluk at Town Hall on June 4, he said that Rs. 25 crore has been reserved for the development of rural roads, he said that work will commence immediately after monsoons. He also said that Rs. 85 lakh have been earmarked to deal with artificial flooding in Jeppinamogaru.
The people complained against the poor condition of city roads and clogged storm water drains, libraries, RTC, electric supply, drinking water facilities, irregular bus services, lack of bus shelters, BPL cards, and many other issues.
Deputy speaker also distributed Rs. 3 lakh cheques among fishermen and awarded certificates to eight students who successfully completed their computer courses.
