Mangalore : State Health and Family Welfare Minister U T Khader said that the medical fraternity and the government are failing to adopt the latest research developments due to the lack of coordination between the medical researchers, representatives and policy makers.
Speaking at the press meet he said that further the department will discuss with the researchers well in advance before taking up any health project and amend the project accordingly followed by researchers and policy makers so that research results can be utilized.
He also said that State Health and Family Welfare department has planned to convene meetings with researchers once in 45 days to create a network of the medical / public health researchers, policy makers, administrators and medical representatives.
The department has formed a team of public health researchers under the banner ‘Swasthya Karnataka’ to organize several activities. Further department will provide training to nurses and auxillary nurse mid-wives to handle the patients.
Speaking on Post-mortems he said that, it will be conducted even on the normal death cases or accident cases which in do not need a report since the family members are aware of the cause of death.
