Mangalore : Former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda said congress is now in a in bad state and hence A Krishnappa has joined JD(S) party from the Congress.
Addressing the press meet held at Circuit House on Sep 18, Wednesday, he said that party has now given the responsibility to Krishnappa as the JD(S) State unit chief and he will surely work to strengthen the party.
Speaking on the occasion, A Krishnappa said that he is visiting Mangalore for the first time as the JDS state president. The party will win at least 15-16 seats and the campaigning will be completed in all the 30 districts. The congress government’s failures in the centre will the victory for the JD(S), he said.
Deve Gowda slammed PM for now taking actions against various scams of congress ministers.
He also said that party will decide its candidates of the 28 constituencies by October end.
Deve Gowda who is on the first round of tour said that he visited Dakshina Kannada and Udupi and will move towards Shimoga and Hassan. On his second round he will visit Belgaum and Dharwad and in third to Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Koppal and Chitradurga, he informed.
He said that coalition with Congress and BJP was the biggest blunder of JD(S), hence further party will not have such commitments and friendship with national parties, he said.
JD(S) leaders M B Sadashiv, David S, Mohammed Kunni and Vasanth Poojary were present at the present.
