Mangaluru : “Many cases of violation of children rights has been registered in the state. Commission has received as many as 300 such cases. Soon the commission will respond to the complaints,” said State Children Rights Protection Commission President Kripa Amar Alva.
She was hearing the complaints of students, SDMC and parents of Gandhinagar Higher Primary School, Ladyhill on Monday.
“We have spoken to the Chief Minister regarding the complaints and a meeting has been fixed on August 24. After the meeting the commission will take a firm decision.
Transfer of additional teachers is the prime problem among the students. The issue has been informed to education minister. As the ministry general secretary is in foreign tour, the issue will be discussed with him as soon as he arrives,” she said.
A student from Surathkal school said that as the Sevadal teacher has been transferred from the school, what should we do with the Sevadal uniform now? Answering to this Alva said some other teacher will be given training for Sevadal.
Many students raised objections for transfer of teachers.
DDPI Walter D’Mello, Women and Children Development Department Assistant Director Sundar Poojary and others were present.
