Mangaluru: City police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar and SP Bhushan BOrase have warned not to spread the rumours about the child kidnapping gang operations through social media.

After the kidnapping attempt of a student in Natekal, many messages are being forwarded in social media like Whatsapp and facebook. It has created a panic situation in the city. Parents fear to send their children out of the home alone.

Commissioner Chandra Sekhar denied to accept the rumours and warned those who are spreading the messages.

SP Bhusha Borase said that no such gans are functioning in the district. If any such cases took place then the information should be passed to the police, instead of spreading rumours.

“If anyone found suspicious then the people should inform it to police control room,” he said.
