Mangaluru: Mangaluru city police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar have released the list of wanted list criminals, on Wednesday.

Addressing the press personnel at his office Commissioner said that the list of most wanted criminals list have been displayed on the blog.

“Criminals who have engaged in murder, murder attempt, extortion, threat calls, robbery and harassment on women and children have been listed. There are totally 153 criminals name and photos in the blog. People can also approach the police if they have any information regarding these criminals, on the number displayed in the web page or in social sites,” he said.

He further said that identity of the informers will be kept confidential; moreover they will be rewarded by the commissioner. This feature is being introduced in collaboration with Diya systems, Mangaluru.

“There are accounts in the name of ‘mangalorecitypolice’ in facebook and twitter; there is a mobile app in the same name. People can make use of it. We are receiving many complaints through social media sites and we are responding immediately to those messages,” he added.
