Bantwal: Bhuvit Shetty, accused of involving himself in a stone pelting incident at BC Road during the communal clashes that erupted post Tipu Jayanthi celebrations the Karnataka High Court on Wednesday granted bail.
The single judge bench of the High Court presided over by Justice AV Chandrashekhar after hearing the petition filed by Bhuvit concluded that he was eligible for bail as there was lack of evidence against him to prove his direct participation in the incident.
After the stone pelting incident, the police arrested Bhuvit and he was named the prime accused in the case.
Apart from this, Bhuvit was also arrested his involvement in the murder of Harish Poojary on November 12 at BC Road; it is learnt that he has applied for a bail in this case too.
