Udupi: Compensation of one lakh for injured and Rs.2 lakhs for those who lost their lives were announced. Announcing this State Minister for Industries and Tourism RV Deshpande, said that this is the compensation of the government to the families of all affected in the gas tanker mishap. Recently a bullet LPG tanker overturned near Kumta in Uttara Kannada district on September 1.

The victims in the above tragedy are admitted to KMC hospital at Manipal, and are under going treatment in the burns ward whom the Minister who is incharge minister of Uttara Kannada visited and announced the governments compensation from the CM’s Relief Fund. Pramod Madhwaraj Udipi MLA also was with Deshpande at the hospital.
