Mangalore: KPCC President G Parameshwar has said that the Congress would be organizing a Padayatra from Ullal to Udupi with a view to promote communal harmony in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
Speaking to media at district Congress office, he said the state government which has lost majority has no moral right to present the budget. He also urged the chief minister to give details of the amount spent as far as allocation made in the Rs one crore budge presented by D VS Sadananda Gowda during his tenure.
He objected to the opposition expressed by a few to the setting up of Tipu Sultan University and added it was a project which the state need to be proud f.
He was also critical of the state chief minister Jagadish Shettar who was stating he himself would present the budget.
Several party leaders including Ramanatha Rai, Vinaykumar Sorake, Vijaykumar Shetty, UT Khader and others were present.
