Mangalore: Congress workers led by District Congress Vice President Ivan D’Souza staged a protest in front of the MCC office in Mangalore on May 19, Saturday alleging that the corporation had failed to solve the problems faced by the general public due to the flowing of sewage water on the road near the Kannur check post on the Mangalore-BC Road highway.
Speaking on the occasion, Ivan said similar problem prevails in several places of the city whenever it rained and accused the MCC of playing with the lives of the people instead of solving such problems.
He also demanded that the local MLA and corporator who have failed to solve the problem should resign immediately.
Congress leaders TK Sudhir, Nazeer Bajal, Ummarabba, Hameed Kannur, Bhoja Shetty and others took part in the protest.
