Mangaluru: JR Lobo, the sitting MLA and Congress candidate from Mangaluru South Constituency visited religious shrines of diverse faiths on April 23, Monday as a prelude to filing his nomination.
Early in the morning, Lobo was present at the St Sebastian Church at Bendur for the mass. He later addressed the gathering outside the church and was blessed by Parish Priest Fr Antony on the occasion.
Later, he visited the Shree Manjunatha Swamy Temple at Kadri and offered prayers to the Lord. Incidentally, Kaup Congress candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake was also at the shrine to offer prayers, Both leaders wished each other.
From Kadri, Lobo visited the Infant Jesus Shrine at Bikarnakatte where the prayers were led by Superior of the Shrine Fr Wilfred Rodrigues. He also handed over a mini replica of the statue of Blessed Infant Jesus to Lobo.
Later, he also visited the Mangaladevi shrine and offered prayers.
