Mangaluru: A taluk level ‘Jana Samparka Sabhe’ was held at Rosario Cultural Hall on Thursday. District In-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai inaugurated the meeting along with DC Dr Jagadeesh.
Addressing the gathering Minister Ramanath Rai said that he is feeling very happy to say that Dakshina Kannada is the only district where the government welfare programmes have been implemented.
“Our government led by CM Siddaramaiah have fulfilled most of the promises mentioned in election manifesto. The government has proved that the government is pro-people and pro-poor government by implementing brilliant schemes like Anna bhagya, Ksheera bhagya, Vidyasiri and many,” he said.
He further said that Rs 1.75 crore have been disbursed to the students as scholarships. 22 metric tonnes of milk powder has been distributed to the schools. The state is speeding towards a hunger free state. CM Siddaramaiah’s dream is coming true.
“All the concerned authorities should work with integrity and transparency to make sure that the schemes are being implemented efficiently. Unutilised SC/ST funds will also carried forward to utilise. Akrama Sakrama application last date has been extended to October. Moreover, more than 100 types of services will be provided in Bapuji Seva Kendra’s which will be installed in each gram panchayat,” he added.
Many people expressed their grievances on the occasion. DC Jagadeesh has promised to look into the matter and solve the problems as soon as possible.
