Mangalore, Jun 19, 2013: KJ George State Home Minister said that Congress party leaders must work to bring changes in the state.
Addressing the workers and media at the press meet held at District Congress Office on June 19, Wednesday, Minister said that people has casted their vote to Congress to bring changes in power, further it is the duty of congress ministers to give transparent and unbiased adminsitration within the legal frame.
He also said that the big problem in the district is communal violence and moral policing. The word moral policing are not present in the Indian Constitution, but it has been referred to the miscreants who take law in their hands.
The government has given a clear order to the officials of every station to tackle the menace of moral policing incident coming under their limits or else they will stay responsible, he added.
Minister also said that on June 21, the elected representatives will hold a state level meeting to discuss on the illegal activities taking place such as drug mafia, pub, live band and fake passport and keep a check on it.
On the occasion, the memorandum was submitted to him demanding to handover the Panjimogaru Double murder case to Panambur ACP and Mangalore CCB by forming the special team.
Women’s Congress president Mamatha Gatty handed over the memorandum to investigate the case of ASI Srikala sexual harassment case. While the guest lecturers association also handed over the memorandum demanding the workplace selection given through online application.
MLA J R Lobo, Congress leaders Ibrahim Kodijal, Ivan D’Souza, Mamtha Gatty, Mithun Rai and other were presented.
